Hi I'm Beth

I love my husband and son, history, books and good films. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I eat too much chocolate, I love reading, hiking and talking to interesting people. I adore my husband. If I could choose between going shopping and visiting historical sites, the historical sites would win hands down. I think being a wife, sister, daughter, friend and (someday) mother is more important than any other role I will fulfill.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family but that doesn't entirely answer the question. I choose to continue as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have received a witness that it is God's true church and it has brought me much happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of our Savior Jesus Christ. I try to be kind and to not judge all I meet. I make time everyday to become more spiritually minded as I study, pray and meditate on the Lords Gospel. More formally, I serve as a teacher in the Relief Society which is a wonderful women's organization that has done and will continue to do much good. I feel privileged to be a part of it. Here is a link to where you can read a little bit more about it's history and purpose. https://www.lds.org/relief-society/daughters-in-my-kingdom?lang=eng

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon missionaries proselyte because we have found something that we want to share with the whole world. Imagine that you have tasted the best dinner of your life. You wouldn't continue eating it by yourself if you saw others passing by. You would shout to them to come and taste and try. That is what missionaries are doing. They are asking you to taste, to try for yourself and see the blessings that the knowledge the Book of Mormon and God's restored Gospel can bring you. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

We can come to know how Father in Heaven by reading his Holy words as contained in the Bible, Book of Mormon and the words of latter-day Prophets. We can also pray to Him. These all are simple things but I think an even more simple way and the most important way we can come to know Him is by taking what we learn from our study of his words and from our prayers and try to become what He wants us to become. By changing our very selves into reflections of His perfect love is the best way to understand and truly know our Heavenly Father. It is easier said than done, but luckily we have a lifetime to come to know Him. Show more Show less

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have of God's great plan of happiness. Through our Saviors merciful atonement we can be perfected and live together as husband and wife and as families. Knowing that God created these saving and sealing ordinances of the Temple and only wishes us to be obedient to experience their blessings makes my life much sweeter. I can think of no greater blessing than being in the eternities with my husband. Show more Show less
