Hi I'm Keith Anderson

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Berkeley, California. At the age of 18 I joined the church .

About Me

I am am 73 years young and still working as a realtor selling homes and retirement cabins in the mountains of California. I am a graduate of San Jose State University where I received a Masters of Business Administration. I am married to my high school sweet heart Julie. We have six children ( all now grown and adults ) Nine grand children and seven great grand children. Julie still works two days a week as a psychiatric nurse. Her patients are crazy about her.I work as a realtor and go to work everyday but Sunday. I take time off as I feel the need and enjoy the mountain atmosphere here in Twain Harte. In the evenings when I am not busy with my calling as Ward Mission leader I build model airplanes. I build 1/32nd and 1/48th scale plastic models and have about 30 completed models. My favorite model is the North American P-51 and I have built several examples of this air craft.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by choice not by birth.I am thankful every day for finding the Gospel of Jesus Christ early in my life and having it as a guide in life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives my peace of mind and and purpose to my life. As I approach my final years here upon the earth I do so with a knowledge of why I am Here and where I am going and That Jesus Christ is my savior.

How I live my faith

I love reading the Book of Mormon and try to read nightly with my wife. We trade off every two verses and have read the book of Mormon many times. We feel reading the Book of Mormon centers us and encourages to try our best. We are active in the church. I am the Ward Mission Leader and Julie teaches in the relief society. We try to help our friends and neighbors and get great satisfaction in being able to help others.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Keith Anderson
That is an interesting question. It goes right back to the founding of the church by Jesus Christ. In the original church as formed by Jesus Christ there were no paid clergy. That seems to be the way he wanted it to be and that is good enough for me. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Keith Anderson
As husband and wife we are a team. We decide all important things together. We are two very different people with different view points and opinions. Nevertheless, we are very considerate of each other and our needs and wants. I try to be helpful doing things before my wife ask, she does the same. We share in the cooking and laundry and house hold chores. We live the the central sierra mountains of California and love the the trees and fresh mountain air. We like to go on drives and walks and enjoy being with friends in the out of doors. Life is great. We look forward to being companions forever. Show more Show less
