Hi I'm Lorrie

I grew up in California. I homeschool my children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 5. I home-school my children. I love gardening, animals, the outdoors, exercise, reading, and healthy eating.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes sense to me and feels right. I have not always been active in the church and I have not always adhered to the principles that I now know to be true. I am grateful for the Savior and the knowledge I have of repentance and forgiveness. I know I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and he loves me. I know I can communicate with Him through prayer. He answers my prayers with what is best for me. I can receive personal revelation for myself. I love to learn from the ancient prophets as well from the prophets of modern day. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book from God and I use it in companionship with the Bible. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today. He leads this church through our Savior’s instruction. I know that families and marriage can be eternal ordinances. All the hard work and knowledge I gain on this earth will be taken to heaven with me. I am grateful to have opportunities to make eternal covenants with my Heavenly Father. I am happy and at peace.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to serve all the women and their families in the church in my area. In the community, I represent the church and my Savior. I am able to help women be more self sufficient and grow closer to their Savior.

What is the Relief Society?

What is the RS? All the women in the church belong to this organization. It was established by our Heavenly Father shortly after the church was restored in the 1800’s. Its purpose is to help teach, organize, and inspire women and prepare them for the blessings of eternal life by helping them increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and seek out and help those in need.
