Hi I'm Jordan
I love buffalo wings. I'm a closet nerd. I have a sick obsession with ties. I listen to Metallica. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I am a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love to hike, backpack, mountain bike, and generally enjoy the outdoors. I am a passionate singer, even if I'm not that good. I believe that video games are an appropriate way to relieve stress, despite what my mother says. I'm a horrible student, but I love to learn. I love my family and spending time with them, and plan on living with them for eternity, and I'm a Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself, by the power of the Holy Ghost, that the Book of Mormon is true. Before I went on my mission, the two-year period that LDS males are asked to give to preach their beliefs, I wanted to make sure that I really did believe in this church. So, I knelt in prayer and asked God, in the name of Christ, if the Book of Mormon was true. I told Him that if I didn't receive an answer, I probably wouldn't go on my mission, but if I did receive my answer, I would go whole-heartedly. As evidenced by the fact that I'm on my mission, I got my answer. The Holy Ghost came over me and gave me a feeling of peace, and a calm assurance that I should go on a mission, and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that God has once again spoken to us, his children, through a prophet. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that I have about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the only path to Eternal Life with our families and our Heavenly Father.
How I live my faith
Well, right now, I am giving up two years of my life to serve the Lord in California! I use the phrase, "giving up" lightly. By giving these years in service, I'm actually gaining so much more in blessings. I love being a missionary. It's definitely the most rewarding thing I've done with my life, and I have never regretted my decision to come to California from Utah to serve the Lord.
