Hi I'm Chris

Living proof that the church calls ALL to come unto Christ!

About Me

I am 32 yrs old, married to the most wonderful woman on the planet (its required to say that isnt it fellas?) I have 3 children. My family is the reason i get up in the morning. I love music, and even made my living for awhile that way. 1 thing ppl would be surprised to know about me is that i LOVE classical music. I am also a die hard Buckeye fan, srry to all u mays and blue lovers. O-H-I-O. It will also surprise many to know that i am covered in tattoos, have had more piecings than i care to remember and Christs church took me in with open arms.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many members, i grew up in another church, went to a parochrial school, and studied the scriptures. I always found something lacking in my "faith". Notice i did not say church there, this is importantant distinction to me. I had questions no one could answer, and struggled to find a "home church". When i met my wife, she introduced me to 2 elders of the church. They invited me to sit and talk with them, i invited them to dinner, thinking i would get brownie points with the boss. These 2 19 yr old gentleman could answer, and was open to answer any question i had, if they didnt know the answer, they would find out. They then asked me if i would pray about the Book of Mormon. I was hesitant to be sure, but told them i would. Personal revelation was a concept completely foreign to me, but the answer came to me in a still small voice we recognize, but mostly dont listen too.It only took 9 months, but i was baptized by 1 of those missionaries.

How I live my faith

This should for me say, How I try to live my faith. The answer is, I try to walk daily with the Lord. The love i experience from my Father in heaven on a daily basis i try to let show through me. I fall short every time. When i fall, i remember my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the love he showed to all when he suffered so makes our daily life a cakewalk by comparison. When life is hard, i remember my saviour. Daily scripture study, prayer, consulting with my friends of the faith, brings my closer to knowing the mind of my Father, and what he has planned for me and my family.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Chris
When i told my friends i was gonna be baptized, the first thing they asked me is, "How many wives will you get?" If they only knew i couldnt handle the one i have! While this was practiced in the early church, it no longer is. It does seem foreign and strange in this day and age, when you read history of what was going on, and what the practice actually was, it becomes a little clearer. It is not however, without precident. Read the Old Testament, and answer me back if God has allowed this before. Show more Show less
