Hi I'm Peter

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 3 children. I have been married for 11 years. I have two boys and one girl. I love going on dates with my wife! We love going to movies and spending time together. I love my kids! I wrestle with my boys and my little girl loves being in the middle of it. For work, I audit information systems and work for a large accounting firm. I have spent the last 4 years in the field of auditing information systems and before that, spent 4 years as an accountant for a healthcare company.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I grew up with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I was raised in a home where the gospel of Jesus Christ was discussed regularly and often. I spent time throughout my childhood developing my understanding of what was right and what was true. Having parents who taught the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ regularly helped me in my search for knowing what was right. At some point, everyone has to make the decision to believe in Jesus Christ and his teachings or to believe in something else. My belief in Christ came gradually through the years as I decided to live what the scriptures teach. I found the scriptures contain truth that, if applied to my life, provide the promised results. One of the truths it contains is that if we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, we will find happiness in our lives. This truth is not circumstantial or subjective. The truths of the gospel are eternal and apply to every one of God's children. Regardless of the challenges each of us encounter, a sense of peace, happiness, comfort, and strength come from living the gospel of Christ. I find it a wonderful blessing that while each of us are unique and our circumstances vary, Jesus Christ understands each of us and can perfectly provide answers to our individual circumstances. He loves each of us, without regard for any human frailty. He supports us and provides a level of self confidence that cannot come from any other source. We love Him as we realize how many blessings he gives to us. We then begin to love others and desire the best for them as we further understand what Christ has provided to each of us. I am grateful to Jesus Christ and for what he has provided to me. I can say that I know my life is better, happier, more fulfilling, full of much more strength, because of Him and the sacrifice he made for me and for everyone. It is the Atonement that provides these blessings, and the Atonement came about because of Jesus Christ and His love for each of us. For this, I am grateful for Him and I love Him.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ requires time and effort. Anything worth while in life requires dedication and hard work. I try to read my scriptures regularly. I say prayer with my family regularly. I love attending church and visiting with others who believe in Christ and bring a strong spirit of love and knowledge of the gospel. I am grateful for so many examples of people who work tirelessly to live what they know to be true. I try to live my life in the same manner. I love to visit my home teaching families. They are wonderful people who live what they believe. I love sharing the knowledge of truth and happiness with friends and co-workers. I consider my knowledge of the truth found in the gospel of Jesus Christ to be of more worth to me than any other knowledge I have received or will ever receive, as I know the truths are eternal and are a blessing to all who live them. I am grateful for a temple that is so close to me. I am grateful for the inspiration that comes to me as a result of attending the temple. I need to attend more often. They are a blessing in my life. The knowledge that comes in these holy places are in the true sense of the word, Pure. I work to raise my children in an environment where they can feel the inspiration that comes from the Holy Ghost and teaches, confirms, testifies, and conforts all in the appropriate times of need. I love my children and hope to live my life so that my children can see the blessings of the gospel of Christ in my life and feel the desire to have the same happiness in their lives.
