Hi I'm Sean

So guess what... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second youngest of 5. My younger sister and I are best friends and my older brother and I look like twins. I love to read. Writing and playing guitar are a couple of my favorite hobbies. My favorite books are the Inkheart trilogy and Lord of the Rings. I absolutely love serving others. I feel there is no greater joy than helping someone in need, or someone who needs help! Bringing joy into someone elses life is a lifetime goal of mine.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me happy! it's the only logical choice as far as I can tell. Every one tries to disprove our beliefs through some sort of physical evidence. But that only proves to strengthen my testimony, simply because my testimony is based on confirmations I received from the Holy Ghost. It is without a doubt in my mind true. I was raised in the church but wasn't converted until I sought out my Father in Heaven to know if the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is infact His church on the earth today. I never would have found for myself the truth of these things if I did not read and pray about the Book of Mormon. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet because the Book of Mormon is true. Everyone has somewhat different experiences in finding this out, but the only way to truely find is to do it with a "Sincere heart," and with "Real Intent" You will never truely know unless you have an absolute desire to know. If you do, and fully intend to act on that answer, Heavenly Father WILL answer you. Heavenly Father loves us. He will not lead us astray. We will be led to green pastures as we put our trust in Him.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith in the best way I can, by serving a full time 2 year mission in the amazing state of Nevada And small parts of California. I have seen many people who have been humbled by circumstances in there life come to find faith in Jesus Christ and grow a testimony in the Book of Mormon. I know God has prepared them to hear the message of the restoration of the gospel.

What is faith?

Faith is to have a trust in God, that He is, was, and ever will be our Father in Heaven. That Jesus Christ is His son that he sent to atone for our sins and to redeem us from the Fall. Faith is the hope for things which are not seen which are true. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The Bible testifies of Christ just as much as the Book of Mormon does. It is scripture. We believe it is true so long as it is translated correctly, meaning that the intended teachings from the Bible are not skewed or altered by man. There would be no Book of Mormon without the Bible. What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

When you have a testimony of something you believe or you have a knowledge of or your witness of something. You have information that needs to be shared. I strongly believe that "faith without works is dead", so if we believe in something, and I mean really believe in something, and that something could change the world, then you would want to share it right? Well that is something I have a testimony of, is that this gospel is restored on the earth, that the windows of heaven are open again. It's a wonderful message, what could be more beautiful than the knowledge that we have a guide to help us return to our Father in Heaven? It's a message that brought change into my life, and I know it will in others as well. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the 3rd distinct member of the Godhead. He testifies of God the Father and of Jesus Christ. There is no way to know of spiritual things without having a witness from the Holy Ghost. This element is key in finding for yourself the truthfullness of anything spiritual, because only God can teach you of true spiritual things, and he teaches us through the Holy Ghost. Whenever someone testifies of truth the Holy Ghost will speak to us through our feelings. Whenever a prophet or some sort of representative of Christ speaks, they must speak by the power of the Holy Ghost or their message is meaningless. It is not the Doctrines so much that make the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the true church, however the Holy Ghost will only confirm truth to us, but it is that the Holy Ghost confirms all the truth that makes the Church of Jesus Christ truly his church! Without it no one could know of its divine mission. That is what truly makes this work the work of God. So as you search for divine truth understand how the Holy Ghost makes you feel and you will find it! Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

One does not need to be baptized to attend church activities or services, but for someone who wishes to experience the happiness and joy and feel the full power of the blessings involved with that they must make a promise with our Father in Heaven that they will do what HE asks them to do, and in return he will bless them with those things that provide EVERLASTING joy. That is the mission of Christ's church, is to bring that joy to all of Gods children, who will accept it. Those promises that we make and that God has given us are called a covenant. A covenant is made through saving ordinance. Baptism is one such saving ordinance. It is essential for our salvation because it cleanses us of all our sins. We literally become spiritually clean as we are baptized, or immersed, in the gospel. Saving ordinances in the temple are not typical church activities which any can attend, only those who have promised their entire lives to be dedicated with all their heart might mind and strength to follow Christ may enjoy the blessings of the temple. Everyone has the opportunity to accept this, it is restricted to none. Show more Show less
