Hi I'm Jacob

I love Jesus Christ, I'm happy every day of my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Montana and love the outdoors. I really enjoy hiking, piano, and soccer. I'm a student at Brigham Young University and plan to attend graduate school to become an optometrist. The members of my family are my closest friends and I pray to my Heavenly Father every day for them. Although I am young, I feel as though my life is fulfilled at this time. I'm motivated by the people that I interact with. I feel a desire to help others become their best. I'm happiest when I'm helping other people be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a personal testimony that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I read and gain a witness that the Book of Mormon is the word of God everyday. My decision to follow Jesus Christ helps me to be happy and enjoy lasting peace. I understand that Jesus Christ is the only way to return to live with God. I seek to do the right thing every day of my life and I feel that God has directed me to be faithful in this church.

How I live my faith

I do my best to act as Jesus Christ would act in every situation. I believe that people should be treated more like people. I'm working to obtain a college education right now so I can support a family financially and so I can help others who are in need. I volunteer my time to serve in the congregation I attend. I am diligent to visit the people I am assigned to watch over. I am also responsible to organize other men to watch over and strengthen each member of the congregation. Most importantly I strive to be honest about my faith. I am not "fake". My actions are in line with my convictions.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Jacob
Being baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God is required to enter the kingdom of heaven. Baptism prepares us to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Through baptism and the reception of the Holy Ghost, we are able to experience the blessings offered by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
