Hi I'm Jeremy

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I lived in the USA and Canada. I love different cultures. I love to travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. When I was 16 years-old, I went to Washington State in the United States of America as an exchange student. I lived with a host family, which I consider to be my American family. My mother tongue is Cantonese but I also speak fluent English and Mandarin. I love to travel and get to know people from different cultures. Traveling is my favorite thing to do! So far I have been to Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar, Egypt, the USA and Canada. I love to spend time and have fun with my friends. I also like to swim and play badminton. I also enjoy playing tennis and volleyball. I served a full-time mission in the Canada Edmonton Mission. I say that I am 1/3 Hong Konger, 1/3 American and 1/3 Canadian. I know that it's physical impossible but I really grew to love all those countries and glad to be able to live in all of them.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom is the first one to join the church in the family. She brought my brother and I to church when we were little. When I was learning the gospel principles when I was little, I didn't really realize how much of an influence it can have on my life. My testimony really grew while I was in the United States of America. Because I cannot rely on my mom's testimony anymore. I really have to gain my own testimony. Being away from home really helped me to turn to God when trials came my way. Through experiences I really know that God is real and He is looking after me. I know that He lives and wants us to be happy. The Book of Mormon really helped me to gain a testimony of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. We can find comfort and answers to our prayers in it. I am grateful that God loves us enough to give us more direction in life.

How I live my faith

Like I said before, I am serving as a full-time missionary in Edmonton, Canada right now. We as missionaries go around and talk to people on the street to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to them. We don't force them to believe what we believe but we simply invite them to listen to our message, try it out and ask God if our message is true. We also do a lot of community services on our missions to help out the community as much as we can. When I am finished with my mission, I would love to share the gospel to my friends. The gospel really blessed my life and I want other people to have those blessings also.
