Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Florida. I'm a baseball wife. I love animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. My mom and I were introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was seven years old. I went to college in Utah to study public relations. I married my husband in 2011, we got our sweet black lab, Tank, in 2012 and welcomed a beautiful baby boy in 2013. My husband plays baseball in the New York Yankees minor league system so we move a lot, travel all over the east coast and watch a whole lotta baseball!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel. I love everything that has happened to me because of the gospel-the opportunities that would have otherwise not been possible, the people I've met, the friends I've made. The gospel is a beautiful thing and the most central principle it embraces is love. Love of God, God's love for us, love of each other, love of family, love of truth. I've found that this love brings out the best in ourselves and each other. My conversion is still a day-to-day process, no big magic moments. But I think that continual learning, growing and feeling is instrumental in keeping one close to God. As I strive to find Him in my life each and every day, and even every moment of every day, I become more like Him and my testimony increases in strength and power.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith is a personal and individual journey I embark on every day. Being more patient with those around me, trying to find the best in other people, being more grateful and noticing and acting on opportunities for service are the hallmarks of a Christ-centered life. I've heard a quote that says, "Live your life in such a way that those who know you but don't know Christ will want to know Christ because they know you." I try to always remember that and it helps me to live my faith.
