Hi I'm Nicole

I save lives for a living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 24 years old, originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I graduated from FIU (GO Panthers!!) with my bachelors in nursing and I currently work in the Intensive care unit of Doctors Hospital...I do believe I have the best job :) I love to read and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized with my mom and brother at the age of 10; at the time, baptism did not mean much to me except that I got to wear a pretty white dress. As I've grown older, I recognize that being a member of the church of Jesus Christ has blessed me in ways I could have never predicted. It is not easy being a member all the time, but if there is anything I have learned in the past 13 years, it is that I would never trade my faith for anything in the world. A lot of people wonder at my decision to remain active in the church when the rest of my family stopped; it is something that is very hard to articulate, but I can speak from the heart and say I know without a doubt it is the only path for me. I have lived my life in the past apart from the church, and I can honestly say it was the most unhappy time of my life. I cannot speak for other people, and I definitely cannot change the minds of those around me, but I cannot deny the happiness or peace that I feel being a member of this church. I believe in it wholeheartedly and invite those of you who aren't, or who are critical of it to listen to the doctrines with an open mind.

How I live my faith

I admit, it is a challenge sometimes to be living in south Florida and follow the standards of the church! But I could not do it without the support from the great friends I have made in the church. Having a congregation dedicated to young single adults in my area has been a huge blessing; we are all facing the same challenges and have the same goals. I love giving service and most of our activities are centered around community service/events.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Nicole
I sometimes wonder why people are so reluctant to believe we can have a living prophet today. If you believe in the Bible, why would you think that God would leave his children without a voice or guidance in these days? If you agree that it is harder to live according to certain values and principles in these times, then it should also make sense that He would provide MORE not LESS. Show more Show less
