Hi I'm Rachel

I am a self-employed writer who loves to cook, read and play games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but my family moved to northern Illinois when I was 15 years old. I attended high school there and then returned to Utah to attend Brigham Young University where I earned my degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations. I am currently living in Utah with my husband, Anthony, and work as a self-employed writer. I love to try new recipes, bake cookies, play games and watch movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-day Saint because I believe in Jesus Christ, the atonement and eternal families. I believe that by living the gospel, serving others and following Christ, we can return to Him to live in His presence, with our loved ones, forever. In my life, I have noticed how much happier and content I am when I am living the gospel. I have also noticed that the Church helps me become a better person and when I take advantage of the opportunities the Church offers, I can become more Christlike.

How I live my faith

I live as a Latter-day Saint by bringing faith, hope and service into my home. I also serve as a visiting teacher in my congregation, where I am assigned to visit two other women each month to talk about our faith and to offer help if I can. My husband and I are currently institute representatives for our congregation. With this calling, we attend weekly religion classes and encourage others in our area to attend.
