Hi I'm Ciara!

I grew up in Iowa! I love Motorcycles and Classic Rock and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the midwest. I dance, play softball, play bass guitar, and I love motorcycles. I attended BYU Idaho for college and I am studying Psychology. I am hoping to become a child's clinical therapist or perhaps a disaster mental health therapist. I enjoy the simple things and like to joke around and keep a positive attitude.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. When I was growing up a member in my family was suffering from depression. It was undiagnosed until I was about 12 years old. As a child I loved this person a lot & many times I felt like they loved me back but that love was temporary & would change to hate at any second. Most of my childhood I went through emotional, mental, & little physical abuse. The worst part was the inconsistency and instability. No one in my family was aware as to what was going on nor does anyone today know. Growing up I felt very alone. Through that time I prayed so much to Heavenly Father and would get so frustrated that He wasn’t saving me. When the member in my family was finally diagnosed I became angry. I felt like now there was an excuse for them. I became very rebellious at home. I stopped praying & reading my scriptures but continued to go to church. When I turned 14 I got called to be a President over a group of girls my age. I saw many of the girls going through so much & I didn’t know what to do to help them. One night I said a rather bitter prayer to God & got an answer. I understood that I went through what I did so that I could develop compassion & empathy for others. I was still hurt about the past but felt like I had a purpose & needed Gods help to fulfill it. I started praying everyday & reading the Book of Mormon & I developed a testimony of Christ. I learned from the Bible & Book of Mormon how to use the Atonement in my life to purge myself from pain. I learned to forgive & to love unconditionally. Today I am so grateful for that struggle. I learned so much about my Savior and how much He & God love me. They never left my side even when I left them. I learned also to have a determination to be the best wife and mother possible. I know that I am happy today because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this is Christ’s church lead by his prophet. I know that His church was restored and is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live my life the way the Savior would want me to. I also try my best to do the things that Christ would do if he were here. Like helping people or volunteering in the community. I know I make mistakes and I'm not perfect but I strive hard daily to improve myself. Currently I am serving full time on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I go out all day and teach others about Christ and help them strengthen their relationship with him.
