Hi I'm Andrea

I 'm an outdoorsy girl ,I love being a missionary, I am a brain tumor survivor and ... I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest of three children. I was born in Texas, but I have lived in Utah pretty much my whole life. I was blessed to be born into a family that are wonderful active members of the church, so yes I have been a member my entire life. When I was two years old I got really sick, and my parents didn't know what was wrong. They took me to a lot of doctors, but they didn't know what was wrong with me either. I was LifeFlighted to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City where I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. All of the doctors told my parents that it was very serious and that I probably wouldn't live through the surgery. While the doctors were operating on me I had a stroke, which has affected the whole left side of my body. With many prayers and much faith from my family and friends, I made it through the surgery. I love the outdoors and being in the sun. I love children. I worked at a daycare center for five years. Before my mission, I was going to school for Elementary Education. I think it would be a blast to teach 3rd grade in Hawaii or somewhere warm.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family very strong in the Mormon faith. I am so grateful to have parents that taught me to love my Savior and do as He would do. I am so thankful for the principles that I believe. I didn't know the power of the Book of Mormon until I came on my mission. The Book of Mormon is the "Word of God." I have read and reread the book many times. I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true and nobody can tell me otherwise. I know that the words in it are from Prophets of God. I am so grateful to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try to live each day of my life according to the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am far from perfect, but I am striving to be perfect by following the example of Jesus Christ and doing what He would want me to do.
