Hi I'm Peggy!

I am an Accredited Genealogist. I am a wife, a mom, a grammy, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family! Mr. Kerry and I have had the opportunity of raising a family of four children and are now empty-nesters. Throughout my life, I have loved being involved in family history/genealogy, and am an Accredited Genealogist. My parents were great genealogists, so I learned early on that it's important to do it thoroughly and get it right. This comes from our great love and respect for our family, whether living or deceased. We have a tremendous amount of appreciation for those that have walked through pathways before us, and gave us what we enjoy today.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I'm a lifelong member of the church, I still experienced conversion just like everyone else. Following the gospel gives me peace in a very frazzled world. My parents raised me well. They were both converts to the Church, being baptized with my three older sisters in the late 1940's in West Virginia. I didn't come along until several years later. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my anchor in this world. Someone once described peace as being without conflict. The Gospel allows peace when conflict is going on all around you.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel has given me many opportunities for growth! I have learned how to be a good mom from other moms and taken advice from older women. I have stayed young by working with the youth. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with them, but they teach me a lot. I have polished my public speaking skills by teaching classes and giving talks. Music has also been part of my life, and the church has many opportunities to expand my musical talents.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Authority is what sets the Church apart from every other religion on the face of the earth. My father baptized me. My husband's father baptized him. My husband baptized our children. Each of these good men hold the priesthood, the authority to act in God's name. They can each trace their priesthood authority back to the Savior Jesus Christ. It is His church. He gives the authority. Show more Show less
