Hi I'm Josh

I live in England and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 26, I am Married and I am a father-to-be. I am studying to be a Physics teacher. I graduated from Portsmouth University in 2011 where I studied Marine Environmental Science. I Enjoy playing sports and spending time out doors. I played for my University basketball and volleyball teams. I love the summer and will spend as much time as possible at the beach. I enjoy all types of music and I play bass guitar in a band. I can play piano, ukulele and guitar. I am also learning the accordion. I love travelling, I have been to Germany, Sweden, America, la Reunion, Mauritius, Malta, Australia, Belize and Abu Dhabi. I speak fluent French and I am currently trying to learn Spanish

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the teachings it has taught me and the way it makes me feel. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I have a purpose on this earth and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he suffered all things so that I can be forgiven if I am sincere. I have learnt all of this from fervent study and prayer.

How I live my faith

Currently I look after the brethren of the church in my area. I prepare lessons for them, I run activities and I also try to get out and visit them whenever possible. I have also helped out with the youth of the church on various different occasions. I served a mission for the church in the Madagascar mission where I served in "la Reunion" and Mauritius. I served for two years away from my family. It was challenging and tough but I spent some of the best times of my life serving the people there. I get involved in service for the local area. As part of the Helping Hands initiative run by the church I have cleaned local schools and parks and last year along with 1,000s of other British members we gave blood as service to those who need it.
