Hi I'm Greg

I'm a dad. I'm a computer nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a four-year-old son who I love very much. He always brings a smile to my face. I love working on and with computers. I work in the aerospace industry. I am fluent in Spanish, and have visited Europe, Australia, and South America. I grew up in Northern California and Oregon, and now live in Southern California. I love to read, especially science fiction, fantasy, and graphic novels. I inherited a goofy sense of humor from my mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it is Jesus Christ's true church. The Holy Ghost has confirmed this truth and others in my mind and in my heart time and again during the course of my life. When I cry out to God for help in facing my trials, He answers me with love and compassion and speaks peace to my soul. I know He is there. I know that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of all mankind -- and that includes me. I know that God has not left us alone to wander aimlessly through life. He speaks to prophets on the earth today as he did in ancient times. These prophets teach His plan -- one that will bring us joy and happiness both here on earth and in the life to come. The only requirement is to listen and obey. I am striving to draw closer to Him and to do His will.

How I live my faith

For a few years, I had the privilege of serving as the pianist for the Primary, a.k.a the Junior Sunday School. I accompanied the children as they sang songs about the Savior and principles of the gospel, as well as action songs that helped them get the wiggles out. Like all positions in the church, this service was voluntary and unpaid. But oh, what blessings were showered upon me! Watching the children grow in knowledge and understanding -- and hearing their pure and simple expressions of faith in the Savior -- often brought tears to my eyes and deepened and strengthened my own faith.
