Hi I'm Emily

I was born in Canada. I am a Teacher. I want to serve all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very happy person and am most happy when I am able to serve others. I am very adventurous and have to be doing something! I enjoy all sports, movies, cleaning, reading about far away places and being outside. I am majoring in architecture and cannot wait to be able to be designing buildings, schools, homes, etc. Being able to make other people happy is my one of my greatest joys in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this gospel and did everything you would expect an LDS member to do. But I never really knew why I was doing it, I only knew I was supposed to. So I would go to church each sunday, read my scriptures, say my prayers, etc. but again I was just going through the motions, i was doing it because that's what everyone else was doing so I may as well. Until recently. I prayed sincerely one night to my Heavenly Father to help me understand why I was doing all these things and to help be able to enjoy learning about his gospel and I was overcome by this peaceful feeling in my heart and it turned me to tears and right then, I just knew that this gospel was true and that my Heavenly Father has been watching over me and wants me to love and cherish this gospel. Ever since that night all I have wanted to do was serve the lord and become the best person that I can be and I love being able to read my scriptures and be able to turn to my Heavenly Father in prayer even if it isn't for anything big, but just someone to talk to and it is the greatest feeling knowing that no matter what happens that he is never going to turn away from me and he will always love me...for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Each day I try to read from the scriptures, listen to a conference talk, and also attend the temple. I have enjoyed all my callings and love to serve in them to the fullest extent, whether it be teaching young children about the gospel or encouraging young adults to come to institute. I love this gospel and cannot wait to wake up each morning and learn something new about it.
