Hi I'm Kelley

I am not popular. I am not famous. But, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a returned missionary from the Illinois Peoria Mission. I spoke Spanish there. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. I am an Eagle Scout. I love the gospel and I love to learn more and more about it. I live in California and have grown up there all my life. I have a pretty happy life and I am grateful for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know it is a way of life that can bring great blessings. I have received many in my life as I have kept the Lord's commandments and have lived the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday and helping to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone I meet. I try to serve as much as I can and help others be happy.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Some Mormons are allowed into temples because they had an interview with their local Bishop and Stake President (local church leaders), and were asked specific questions to see if the candidate is worthy to enter into the Lord's House. They are then issued a Temple Recommend and it must be signed by both the Bishop and the Stake President in order to enter the temple. There is no secrecy in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The temple is considered holy. It is a place for worthy members of the church to grow closer to our Heavenly Father and receive guidance in their lives. It is also a place of refuge and of learning. I have been in the temple and I know without a doubt that the Heavens are opened and that we all can receive guidance and direction as we humble ourselves and look to the Lord for help and comfort. In short, the temple is a house of order and a place to feel the spirit. Show more Show less
