Hi I'm Michelle

I love laughing! I love teaching! I love dancing! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

When I get sad, I stop being sad and be AWESOME instead. True Story! I love all things that make me laugh and I love laughing! I love adventures and traveling and talking with fascinating people. I cry...I have even cried at a radio commercial! I agree with Dr. Seuss, "Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way."

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Mormon Church when I was 21. I felt good, calm and peaceful about it. Although it was a hard transition from my old life, I am so glad that I found the kind of happiness that comes only from within. As I continue to follow the commandments I am always amazed at the blessings I receive! Heavenly Father knows me and He Loves Me! I know this because I have felt His love!

How I live my faith

One of my favorite things in the church is the emphasis on serving others, and not just other Mormons, EVERYONE! I have had the opportunity to serve so many people, but in my congregation I coordinate what is called the Visiting Teaching Program. I pair girls up and send them to visit other girls in the ward. Sometimes a spiritual message is shared, sometimes cookies, or boy talk...whatever! We are there through good times through low times for anytime! Some of my best and most dearest friends have come from this amazing program and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to give back to it.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Michelle
Mormon lifestyle for students between the ages of 18-30 in my city is so much fun. There are lots of activities, sports, dances and other events going on that we attend regularly. I live with a few girl roommates. We go to Church on Sunday's, I meet with friends from my congregation every Monday to have a spiritual thought and then play games, do a service project, or some other fun things. I also go to a Religion class once a week for about an hour & half. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or do drugs. I have always loved to volunteer and like to volunteer with local organizations such as a Children's Hospital or Homeless Shelters. My friends and I play intramural sports with my University too. I play inner tube water polo and love it so much. I work at reading my scriptures and saying my prayers daily and to just be a good person. Being Mormon is great.   Show more Show less
