Hi I'm Nathan

I play piano. I make films. I read. I sing. I love history. I'm exciting - believe me!!! - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi whoever's reading about me! I was born in Tasmania in Australia and have a twin brother, an older sister and a younger brother. One of my favourite things to do when I have free time is to make mini-films with friends. I sing - average- and love to make people laugh - sometimes by singing - and have had incredible fun in Musicals. I've finished year 12 at High School and I have two jobs. History was my favourite subject at school - aren't I exciting!

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon helps me smile EVERY DAY! I know the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon are true and that they teach how to find joy. I know I am a child of God, that He loves me and that life goes on forever. Despite the jokes that some people level at me for making some decisions because I'm a member, the more I embrace the gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ, the more I feel joy in my life - nothing makes me happier than doing what Mormons do. That's why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I like to help people. At school I was involved in a Peer Supporting program which was great fun and a great opportunity to help the younger members of my school community. At Church I teach a class of 8-11 year olds they can be a handful but they enjoy learning and I love to teach!  Praying is central to living my faith as is reading the scriptures and going to church.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Nathan
Finding joy. God loves us all. He's the father of our souls, our spirits, and like the best dad in the world, He wants us to enjoy life and make all the right decisions. Because He loves us, He's chosen prophets like Noah and Moses to teach us. He's sent us His son Jesus Christ to teach us what all those right decisions are. By following their counsel, we can experience the greatest joy in life - that's what God wants and He wants us to find that out for ourselves by testing out the commandments He's given us. I still make the wrong decisions, but when I'm making the right ones, I really do feel JOY!  Show more Show less
