Hi I'm Krystine

I am a mom of 3 teenage kids. I enjoy blogging and love to visit new places.

About Me

I am a mom of three teenage kids! One, my oldest son, is serving a mission in Boston, MA and I have two great, crazy teenage girls! I love to read, my favorite book is The Red Tent. I also love to travel and I like to express myself through cooking, even though my kids don't always love the new recipes I try out on them! I also am an avid blogger, I set a goal to blog every day and in 2010, I accomplished that goal. It was a great experience and now I am hooked! I have been married for 20 years and a stay at home mom for the last 19 years. I LOVE being a mom, although it comes with its challenges, I have found much joy in the simple day-to-day experiences I have with my kids. I am homeschooling my girls this year and it has been a rollercoaster ride for sure! I find much joy in serving others, and always seem to have much going on in my life, whether it is serving my family, within the church or my community, I keep busy, busy, busy!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Good question! I am a Mormon because I have grown to have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Prophet Joseph Smith. I also know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Redeemer of the world. I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me when I was a young girl of 17 when I read the Book of Mormon for the first time. I continue to feel the Holy Ghost testify of truths every day of my life as I knee in prayer and ask God with a sincere heart and desire to know for myself when I have questions about different principles of the gospel. I have faith in Jesus Christ and love Him with all my heart and because of this faith, I have to act upon it. I want to be a disciple of His by following in his footsteps and enduring to the end. I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost in my life and because of this, I cannot deny what I know to be true. My testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ and my faith in Jesus Christ are the two greatest gifts Heavenly Father has given me. That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by the choices I make. Not every choice is an easy one but ultimately when I act as I know my Savior would I find peace. I always begin my day with prayer and ask my Heavenly Father what he would have me do to help another. It is not hard to find His children who are in need. I try to show my own children by my example that I love my Heavenly Father by serving others and being obedient to all of His commandments even when it is hard. I am not perfect, very far from it. However, I know that God forgives and each day I have a new chance to start again to do better than the one before. I also live my faith by spending much time giving service to members of our congregation or ward. I am the president of our woman's organization and this has blessed my life greatly as I help other women strengthen their testimonies, strengthen their homes and families and draw nearer to Christ. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and it affects my life in every way, every day!
