Hi I'm Juan

I'm a Social Worker, a husband, a church leader and a very happy Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young husband who is about to have his first newborn. I'm a Social Worker. I am also a church leader. In my free time, I love to go to the movies. I'm little computer-geeky too. I served a full-time mission for the church a while ago. I love to help families reach their potential as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father...

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to join the LDS church about 12 years ago. On my pursuit of the truth, I visited many, many religions, churches, etc. I kind of identified myself at that time with the evangelical mainstream but I felt that something was missing. One day, the missionaries knocked on my door and here I am twelve years later. Having the chance in life to get to know the LDS church, not only has been a great blessing but it has defined my entire life since.

How I live my faith

My wife and I go to church every Sunday. I'm currently serving in the church teaching the Sunday School class for adults. This year, as I have been re-reading and re-discovering The New Testament, I have gained a new perspective of what the Lord's work is all about, LOVE. I'm striving to live my life in faith every day so that somehow the Lord's love could fill somebody else's life with joy and love. In my current line of work I talk to many different people from many different backgrounds everyday and it is my job to "protect the unprotected", the children in our state. This line of work requires lots of reserves of pure love. Strengthening families and protecting children at the same time is not an easy job, but my faith in Jesus Christ and the everlasting love He shows to me and all His children it's what keeps me motivated. I know that by helping this little ones in our state I'm in fact serving the Lord.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Juan
I believe Eternal Life is the ultimate reward for those whose have lived their lives in such way, that they have become worthy to be the recipients of God's full love and gifts after this probation time which we call "life". Show more Show less
