Hi I'm Ashley Witt

I'm a wife, Lifeguard, Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to swim, be active, and I love being outdoors. I love to spend time with my husband and go on trips together. We love serving in our church with the youth.

Why I am a Mormon

I became Mormon when I was 18. Before that I had gone to college for a year and I had found myself sad, confused, and in a rut. I didn't know what path to choose nor what I should do with my life, that is when I found the Church and it couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I knew it was true because of the peace and happiness that it brought to my life. I had never felt so much joy and happiness ever in my lifetime, it is a happiness that is contagious and worthwhile. I also found my purpose and found a more goal driven path which I am on today. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it's true, it gave me my life back.

How I live my faith

I try to be an example to those around me. I try my best in everything I do and I try to be a good friend, wife, daughter, and sister.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Ashley Witt
Mormon is just a nickname. We get that nickname from a book that we believe and know to be scripture which is called The Book of Mormon. Which is another testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ashley Witt
Yes, husband, wife, and families can be together forever. As most weddings of different traditions and faiths are "till death do you part," we believe that husbands and wives can be married to each other for time and all eternity in the Holy Temple. We also believe that we can be sealed to our families forever. I find it a blessing and comfort to know that our families don't end here, but go beyond this life and into the eternities.
