Hi I'm Curtis L. Crabtree

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent pretty much my whole life living in Western Canada. Living in such a beautiful Counry, I gained a love for the great outdoors. At a young age as my parents would take my two sisters and I camping, hiking, and fishing as often as time would permit.. Some of my greatest hobbies are a result of these early childhood experiences being at one with nature and the creations of our Heavenly Father. If I could, I would spend my life in a kayack or on a trail somewhere in the mountains. I like to keep myself well rounded as I am interested in and play a number of different sports including Volleyball, Basketball, Curling, and ultimate frisbee. The thing that means the most to me in this world is my family, they have allways been such a srength to me and I look forward to the day when I will have the opertunity to raise a family of my own consisting of the same values and unity that I was fortunate enough to have as a youth in my home.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is truly the church of Jesus Christ. and that it has been restored to the earth so that we could all know the way to find true peace and joy in this life and also in the life to come. I was raised Mormon but with that said i cat tell you the day that i was truly converted to the faith. When i turned 18 year old i decided that I was going to move out of my parents house and so a friend and I moved to a city 2 hours south of our hometown. at this point there was nobody telling me what to believe, what to do, what not to do.. it was all me and at this point i needed to know where my faith lied because i was not going to waste any more time with this faith if I didnt have that conviction of its truth. after much thought I decided to read from the Book of Mormon and remembered the promise it contains that if we ask our father in heaven with faith and real intent, he would then manifest the truth of it unto us by the Holy Ghost. so i knelt down and prayed to inquire of the lord what is true or if i should continue with this faith. when i closed that prayer it is hard to even describe the feelings that rested upon me.. i can only describe it as peace, warmth, my mind was clear and I knew that the lord had answered my prayer that this is his church established in the world.

How I live my faith

I am just an average member of the community. I work, I learn, I serve.. I try to live my life in such a way that others who see me would be able to say "that man is a follower of Jesus Christ" I love my savior and i strive to do good continually. to serve those in need or give them comfort. I am currently serving as a missionary of the church and i hope that through my service others will be able to find the same joy and peace that i have found in my own life.
