Hi I'm Lucy

I'm an Aussie, I'm serving a mission in Melbourne Australia and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a typical Australian girl who loves to spend time with family and friends. I'm an avid bookworm and I have and interest in International Politics. I one day hope to study in Israel

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church with excellent parents who were great examples to me. Eventually a time came in my life that I had to know if the church was true and if this was something that I wanted to commit myself too. So I asked the one person who could tell me the truth. I knelt down and prayed to God and you know what. He answered my prayer! And he can do the same for you!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Victorian/ Tasmania area. I teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone I'm given the opportunity to meet.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

The reason mormon missionaries proselyte is because we want to share the truth of the restored Gospel to everyone so they can enjoy the blessings that come with living the gospel. Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, I really believe that there is a prophet on the Earth today and that Heavenly Father gives direction to him for us to follow in these days. Just like in times of old when people listened to the prophets we ourselves can be led through these days when morals and values are decaying. The prophet guides us, gives us knowledge and instruction to strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

There is a great analogy that I like to use to show the importance of having the proper authority to do baptisms. Imagine that you are driving down a highway and you are speeding a little over the speed limit. A icecream truck pulls up behind you and turns on it's musical sirens and motions for you to pull over to the side of the road. After you both pull over to the side of the road he comes up to you and tries to give you a speeding ticket. Would you accept this ticket? No, because he doesn't have the proper authority to enforce any law to give you a ticket. But if it was a policeman that had pulled you over and had given you a ticket then you would of accepted it and paid the fine because he has the authority to give you speeding ticket. Such is the same as baptism. We need the proper authority given by God, which only the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has, to do such ordinances to be accepted.  Show more Show less
