Hi I'm Mayra

I grew up in L.A. The religious life of becoming a nun interested me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance salsa and merengue. One day i would love to go swimming with dolphins and help build a playground in Baja California, Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

There is something very special and sacred of having the personal knowledge that God, our Heavenly Father loves us individually. I have struggled with depression and anxiety and at times struggled with knowing and feeling this to be true in my heart and mind, yet I have come to know that God has and is always mindful of me. Each person in my life, each visit to the temple, each scripture study, each prayer, each and every moment in my life has been a testimony to me that God is very present. I had forgotten what it had felt like to truly live and be happy in this life no matter what the circumstances. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is what has brought me great happiness and that knowledge of his love. I have come to know in the past ten years that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Christ, that Mormon was a prophet of ancient america and that he compiled the writings and testimonies of the ancient americans for our time. The book of Mormon also testifies of Jesus Christ. The book of Mormon just like the current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson also testifies of the great love God has for me and each and everyone of us. I am a Mormon because I have come to know how much Heavenly Father loves me, that those times i am living by the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ are the times that i am most happiest. :)

How I live my faith

I love service, when I was a member of a young single adult branch, we formed a group together to help the Ronald Macdonald House charities decorate a new year's rose parade float.
