Hi I'm Christopher

I grew up in a split religious home. I'm an athlete. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm from Michigan. I'm 21. I just returned from serving a two year mission in Canada. I love playing the beautiful sport of Soccer. In Michigan there is alot of water so I love all kinds of water sports. Wakeboarding, Skiing, and Sailing are a few of my favorites. I am studying Engineering in University.

Why I am a Mormon

Im a Mormon because it has provided me with answers to all of the questions about life and who I am, that i have longed to know since I was a child. I have purpose and direction everyday when I get up every morning and set out to accomplish tasks. I grew up with a father that is Roman Catholic and a mother who is a latter-day Saint. I was baptized into the Catholic Church at birth. As i got to be about 6 I remember going to church sometimes with dad and other sundays with mom. Seems like a young age to be exposed to different types of beliefs. Still to this day i remember the difference of how i felt as I would go to these different sects. The amount of love and comfort i felt at the one was so much greater then the other. I was later baptized a Mormon when i was presented with the opportunity. Since that day my faith in Jesus Christ has grown into a great knowledge of the love he has for me. Knowing that this is God's church restored to the earth and that it is directed by a living Prophet today gives me great hope in a world of uncertainty. You too, can feel that if you slow down life for a bit and read the Book of Mormon and Pray to know if the Church is true. I promise you it would be the most worth while use of your time.

How I live my faith

I just finished serving a Full-time Mission in the Canada Edmonton Mission for two years. Serving Gods children was the greatest experience that I have ever done. To see the love that the Lord has for his people and to see how beautiful people are from all different walks of life. How the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through a prophet can bless every single life that embraces it.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Christopher
To have a "testimony" means to have recieved a witness for the Holy Ghost or Spirit that the Gospel of Jesus Christ have has been restored to the earth again through the prophet Joseph Smith. Once we have recieved a testimony we must follow that knowledge everyday of our lives in the way we act around other and when we think no one is watching. Knowing that the Church of Christ has been restored to the Earth with all the authority from God, we must be Baptized and recieve the Holy Ghost be that authority. Then we live everyday following the teachings of Jesus Christ and striving to strengthen that testimony through study, prayer, and service. Show more Show less
