Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Austria. I'm a husband, a father and an IT consultant. I play guitar and mountain bike. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a loving family with wonderful parents. I am the eldest of five boys. When I was in middle school my family moved to Vienna, Austria where I finished high school. What a wonderful opportunity for our family. We were the only American family in our neighborhood and one of a small handful of Mormon’s in Vienna. My family attended a small English speaking Mormon congregation where we had many opportunities to serve and associate with incredible people of faith. Later on I served two years as a full time missionary for the Church in northern Chile. Currently I live in the South with my wife and children. I work for an IT consulting company and I specialize in marketing data solutions. I have a certain passion for family history research. While living in Europe I had several opportunities to visit parts of Switzerland and Scotland to see where my ancestors lived. I feel a true love for those people and enjoy finding information about their lives. My life centers on my family and our faith. I feel so blessed to be Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and it seemed natural for me to be a member of the church. As a young man I reached a point where I needed to decide for myself how I wanted to live my life. I earnestly prayed to know for myself the truthfulness of the Church and of the things I had been taught. As I continued to pray, study the scriptures and serve others, my faith strengthened. I received a strong impression that God knew me personally. This is Christ’s church, restored again on earth. His Gospel brings peace, happiness and direction to my life; I’ve made a commitment to follow Him.

How I live my faith

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a priority for me and for my family. We help by working in various church assignments. We visit and serve our neighbors and appreciate being able to assist them in times of need. I love to share my faith with others.
