Hi I'm Trent McLelland

I'm a missionary. I'm a swimmer, rock climber, runner, and everything else that involves the outdoors. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and rasied in the Church and have been able to see the blessings of the gospel in my life for 20 years. The gospel has helped me to understand who I am, where I've come from, and where I'm going to go after I pass from this life. I've been serving a mission for a little over a year and have loved every minute of it! I have been able to see the blessings of the gospel influence the lives of others for good. I love to be outdoors because there's no better way to get in touch with God than through His creations, in my opinion. I love this earth and am awe-struck by the magnificent beauty that it contains.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. And because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet and through him, God restored the church that Christ Himself established when He was living on the Earth. Everything in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been restored from previous prophets and apostles to the prophet Jospeh Smith. I have been able to see the redeeming love of the Savior Jesus Christ in my life and cannot deny that I know these things to be true! It's just that simple!

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in SoCal, spreading the gospel of peace and love with other well dressed guys. This has been the fulfillment of a dream since my childhood and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! The blessings that come from living the gospel are the greatest that could ever be given from a loving Father in Heaven!

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Trent McLelland
Behind every great man is a great woman, rolling her eyes. We believe that men and women are equal in their responsibilities to God in raising their children and helping each other make it back into the presence of God. "In the Celestial glory, there are three heavens or degrees, and in order to obtain the highest a man must enter into this order of the pristhood [meaning the new and everlasting covenant of marriage] and if he does not he cannot enter in, for that is the end of his kingdom. He cannot have an increase." It's that simple. God's laws are absolute and cannot be voted to change. Show more Show less
