Hi I'm Axel

I'm a busy, married, college student. I love to go mountain biking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to school for entrepreneurial management and I hope to someday own my own business. My wife is a piano teacher so we've thought it would be really cool to run a music studio, but I'm open to anything. I work part-time at a retail store selling cell phones. When I'm not bogged down with homework I love to go mountain biking or rock climbing. I also enjoy staying home with my wife and watching a movie, doing a puzzle, or playing a game.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but I've stayed one because I know it's true from experience. Understanding my Heavenly Father's plan for me has made all the difference in my life. I didn't always believe everything that I was taught. In fact, when I was about 18 I made some choices that weren't the greatest. Before I got too lost I decided that I'd better figure out for myself whether or not this stuff is true. On a camping trip one night my little brother came to me to ask for my advice on something he was struggling with. We went for a walk and in the course of talking we knelt down and offered up a prayer. During that prayer I felt God touch my heart and witness to me that the things I had learned as a little child were true, and it was the only way to live to experience the fullness of joy that Christ has in store for us. Ever since then I've been more committed to being a good Mormon. I haven't been perfect but I try to be a little better every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out in my local ward (congregation). I'm in charge of making sure the full-time missionaries are getting rides to their appointments and stuff. My wife and I also try to visit people in the local congregation that we don't know and take them some cookies or something. We recently moved across the country so there are a lot of people on this list, but we're working on it one by one and we like to think that everyone we visit feels just a little more loved. Besides my responsibilities in the congregation I try to just be as Christlike as I can to everyone I run into.
