Hi I'm Ted

I'm a husband and father. I'm a guitarist, a democrat--and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a forty-something husband and father of three. I'm a web developer, and I play the guitar and sing in a local band. I'm a die-hard Linux/Open Source user.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, served a two-year Church mission. Throughout my life, I have experienced the love of my Heavenly Father. I know He loves me and loves all of His children. I know he wants us to live with Him again. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides the way to return to our Heavenly Father, and to be happy in this life. I know this to be true, because I've proved it out in my life. Being a Mormon allows me to exercise my faith in God in a very real way. I firmly believe we are here on earth to help others, and to learn to exercise faith because we don't have all the answers. As I live Mormon religious doctrine and worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I feel my faith in them strengthen. I try to live by the teachings of Jesus. I try to be a good father and husband. I try to teach my children. I try to be a good neighbor. I'm not always any of these; I'm a practicing human. :)

How I live my faith

I serve in the clergy in the local Mormon congregation. I am one of many who serve, and I am fortunate to serve among so many caring and giving Christians!

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Ted
The Word of Wisdom is a code of health that Mormons live by that was revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith. It basically states that wholesome foods are good for us, and that we should avoid harmful or addictive substances, including coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, and illegal or dangerous drugs. Are Mormons Christians?

Ted
Indeed we are! Mormons believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. They worship him as the creator of heaven and earth, and as the Savior of the world. Mormons believe that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, all people can be saved. Show more Show less
