Hi I'm Becky

I'm a Mother. I love to Smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home wife and mother of three. That might sound boring, but I have more fun in a day than anyone who works. My kids keep me entertained. They do something funny or annoying at every minute, but I like it better than TV. I'm a kid at heart, and always will be, at least that's what my husband says. I love to read, walk, and camp. I've been to the Redwoods, the Grand Canyon, both oceans, and Canada. I've always wanted a Harley, and will get one someday. I also dream of Sky Diving, but will have to wait until my children are grown. Someday I want to go on a tour of the United States, and visit every state capital including Juneau, Alaska and Honolulu, Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 20 I decided I needed to know if the Book of Mormon was true. I spent several months reading and studing the Book of Mormon. When I was done, I followed Moroni's advice, and prayed to know if it was true. Before I could even form the right words, I knew it was true. Such a feeling of love and peace came over me that I cried. I will never forget the way I felt kneeling on the floor next to my bed.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly, and love going. I find it a time to refocus my life on the things that matter most: The Lord, my spirit and my family. I feed the missionaries as often as I can. There's nothing like having the missionaries in your home to bring the Spirit into your house and family. I pray always. I say prayers at meals, and bedtime. I pray with my family, and by myself. But mostly I just have a prayer in my heart all day long. All day I think of the Lord, and ask His advice on things. All day I try to listen for the promptings of the Holy Ghost to show me the answers to my prayers, and the things I need to do, but didn't think of on my own.

In whom should we have faith?

We need to have faith, first in Heavenly Father, secondly in Jesus Christ, and third the Holy Ghost and fourth in ourselves. Heavenly Father loves us, and wants us to come home to Him. Too often we forget He's even there. But we must remember Him. Remember He is the one we pray to, and He is the one who will answer our prayers through the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ, is the Savior and Redeemer. We must have faith in Him. He is 'the way, the truth and the life.' Without faith in Him we lose our way, and are lost. The Holy Ghost testifies to us of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We need to have faith in him in order to be able to hear and follow his directions. Without his guidance, it's easy to forget our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have found that if I don't have faith in myself, I have trouble believing in anything or anyone else. I second guess the Holy Ghost, and wonder if Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ could really Love Me. Show more Show less
