Hi I'm Travis

I'm a ranch boy, I love playing football and guitar, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a little Utah town, and I loved it! I was raised on a small family cattle ranch, which taught me allot of hard work and life lessons that I have really appreciated, (but I'll never admit that to my parents.) School was something I always enjoyed, especially playing sports after school. I liked playing a few different sports, but football was the only one i was really good at. After completing high school I went right out on a mission for the Church, I was lucky enough to get sent to the Texas Lubbock Mission, which i believe is the best mission ever! I've grown a ton out here and I've learned so many things that will help me when I get home. I plan on joining the military when I get home, probably Army, the discipline and hard work that my parents and my mission have taught me will help me out for sure. After serving a mission boot camp should be cake!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it's true. It's not always easy, but in the long run i know that it is the only way that I can receive everything I want most in life. Namely happiness and the peace that comes from obeying God, following his son Jesus Christ, and knowing that I am on the right path to return and live with them and my family someday. I know that this is true because I have lived it and seen that it works! Being on a mission in Texas has opened my eyes to all the many different beliefs, and how much confusion is out there. I am so thankful for the guidance that I receive daily, from the words of ancient prophets, both in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and the modern prophets. And I am most thankful for prayer which gives me the opportunity to talk to my Father in heaven, to receive guidance from him, and to know from him that the words of the prophets are true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making it my life. I strive to represent Christ in everything I do, I want to follow his teachings and his example. One way I follow Christ's example is by willingly doing whatever he has asked of me, and doing it well. In the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints I have many opportunities to serve others and Christ. I have found that I am always happiest when I am living as Christ would want me too. I look for ways i can improve and become more like him everyday. Of course I'm not even close to being perfect, but I do try my best. And when I fall short I know I can turn to Christ, repent, and receive forgiveness from him.
