Hi I'm Austin

I studied physics and math in school. I am a scientist and mathematician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and am the father to two boys. I live in Maryland and work nearby doing math for a living.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith has been built over a lifetime of experiences. I have found that there is nothing in the world that compares to the lasting happiness found in the family, congregation, and personal relationship with God. My faith has led me to make promises to myself, God, and my family that help me keep these relationships healthy and strong in a world of divorce, shattered homes and communities.

How I live my faith

I try to remind myself every day of what is important in life. This helps me to be less selfish and to accomplish many more things that are worthwhile. I serve in the material center on Sundays in my local congregation.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

The priesthood is given to men to bind them to service to their families and communities. It is not a right of power or influence nor does it convey any superiority or favoritism. Both women and men have many opportunities to serve in their congregations. If they serve faithfully then they are blessed with peace in their lives and families. Show more Show less
