Hi I'm Jessica

I love to direct children's theatre and check out cookbooks from the library. I'm a mom, wife, sister, daugheter and friend.

About Me

God has been good to me and exposed me to so much of what is good and great in this beautiful world - from the stunning majesty of the Rocky Mountain high country to the beauty and wonder of a newborn laid in my tired, grateful arms! I'm the mother of 4 beautiful children who keep me busy, busy, busy! I love to take road trips, read books about interesting people and places, make cookies, have campouts in the basement (or in the mountains) with my kids, and organize neighborhood parties. Children's theatre is one of my passions and I'm always looking for excuses to direct a show.

Why I am a Mormon

As a Mormon I was taught as a child that God is my Father in Heaven and that He is intimately interested in me. He wants me to return and live with Him; and, through my obedience and the grace of His Son, I can. I feel His guiding hand in my marriage, my choices, my aches, and my joys. To know He loves me and wants me to suceed in this life is extraordinary and the Church of Jesus Christ gives me the tools I need to suceed - a living prophet, scriptures that testify of Christ, baptism and eternal marriage, an understanding of where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going, and the gift of knowing for myself what is true.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon isn't just about attending - it's about becoming - and that takes intentional effort, consistancy, and faith! I have found it's more than just talking to my kids about right and wrong or who Jesus Christ is - my husband I must BE those things. It's hard to apologize to a three year old when I lose my temper; however, the sweet feeling of peace that God gives me when I humble myself and make that apology is a testiment of His grace and love for me and my children. Through these little opportunities to change and grow I am becoming what my Father in Heaven wants me to be; it certainly brings growing pains but the joy that comes from growing that "spiritual inch" is so worth it! These types of things happen throughout each day, each week, and over the years - little opportunities to become what I proclaim to believe.
