Hi I'm Lucy Rizo

I grew up in So. Cal. I was baptized in Monza, Italy while working as a model in Milan. I am happy to say I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a single, middle aged woman, who loves life and all that it may bring good or bad. I am in the midst of changing careers, so i am in school to learn a new trade. I love driving cars for work and play.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I walked into many churches, synagogues, mosques, meditation centers and found that as a whole, the Mormons are hard working, kind people who truly want to go to learn of the Son of God. We go to church for 3 hours on Sunday and sometimes more during the week to keep learning about this man named Jesus Christ. We are the same church where ever you may go in this country or others. I am Mormon because i have always known from childhood (even though we were not raised with religion) that God never stops talking to his people either through personal revelation or though Prophets of the TRUE God or both. We have Prophets and Apostles just as Jesus himself organized it. I am a Mormon because no one gets paid to teach us, we all work in running the daily operation of the church and I know that the way the Savior himself wants it to be. I am a Mormon because we do not blow with the wind of society or popularity. We are not perfect as people, but the church is perfect in its guidance by the Savior himself. I am a Mormon because I see the fruit of what is taught and done by the Mormons who are living righteously.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by incorporating into my life, what I learn at church, about the Savior and his ministry. I want to do the work He has for us today, because He lives and still loves his modern day children. If I make mistakes I remember that i can start new through my sincere desire to make wrong things right with the help of the Atonement. I try to remember I am not perfect today, but i am learning how to be perfect. I live my faith by not being too hard on myself as I learn and grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most importantly, I do not 'kick against the pricks," (acts 26:14) meaning that I do not waste my time worrying about anything other than how can I live better and understand all things as the Savior did. Anything else, within the Gospel life, detracts from the forwarding of bringing ourselves and others to Christ and the healing power of the Gospel of Jesus. I live my faith by serving others as often as i can by giving time to my friends and those i do not know well. I live my faith by being interested in people and wanting to sincerely know about them, their lives and their challenges.
