Hi I'm Tanya

I love to laugh, travel and EAT! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of 3 kids. My kids are all just about in school so I am in a sort of middle zone....do I go back to work outside my home, go to school, stay home?? Kind of a crazy place to be in! Not sure what my next adventure will be!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a mormon, but I think a person needs to be truly converted to a faith and not just "doing what mom and dad did". I remember really feeling the love of my Father in Heaven when I was a teenager. I decided I needed to know for myself if all of this was true or not. I got down on my knees to really talk to God in prayer. The feeling of lightness and joy I felt after is something I will never forget. ....I continue to have experiences in my life that remind me that I am a daughter of God and He loves me.

How I live my faith

I have been assigned to be an Adult Sunday School teacher in the ward I attend. At first I was terrified, because I am not a bible scholar or super smart, who was I to be teaching people with so much more experience than me? As I study my scriptures through the week, I can tell you that God really does direct my thoughts to where they need to be that week. Time and again I feel like "oh no I can't do this" and as I pray to have the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) with me, He is there and everything comes together as it should....God is real and he LOVES us!

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Tanya
God has given us everything....100% of what we have...so I choose to give 10% back to him. The money is used for many different things, buildings to worship in, temples, help for the poor and needy. " Because I have been given much, I too must give" (LDS hymn #219) Show more Show less
