Hi I'm Blake

I love to fish, read, and spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 children and have been married to my wife for 25 years. At work I like to solve technical business problems. When I have time I like to vacation, camp and hike with my family. I am an avid fisherman. I also like to read fiction.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members when I was born and they taught me about the church from my youth. As a teenager I decided to test and determine if the principles the church taught were really true. As I studied and lived the gospel principles taught by the church I saw a real impact in life. That experience and many other similar experiences I have had since then are what have proven to me the truthfulness and power of my faith and the principles taught by the church.

How I live my faith

I strive to study the scriptures and pray daily. I also try to lead my family daily in prayer and scripture reading. I try to be an example of what I believe at work and at home, by watching how I act and speak. In the church I help train and support the leaders that work with the 12-18 year old young men. I meet with the leaders regularly to encourage them and make sure they know what to do. I also organize activites or events for large groups of the young men several times each year. The purpose of the activities is to build the faith and brotherhood of the young men and give them opportunities to serve, learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ.
