Hi I'm Jeremy

I love learning new things and meeting new people. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 4 and 1/2 years. I like to spend time with my wife. We play frisbee, go on mini-vacations, go hiking, explore new areas, go to church, exercise and watch some movies at home. I'm very interested in topics like science, nutrition, exercise, social psychology, sports, games, trivia, and generally learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up occasionally going to church, not understanding the point. What impressed me about the LDS Church was the large number of people that LIVED their religion. They prided themselves on education, family and helping others. After learning about the church, it made sense to me logically AND emotionally. After months of praying and striving to be a better man than I had been in the past, I received an answer that God is real and this church is true. This life is not mine, it belongs to Him, and now I have the opportunity give back.

How I live my faith

There are many ways to serve in the church. I have a couple of positions that I volunteer for. But the main way I live my faith is by striving to always be a better man, and a better husband to my wife. Eventually I hope to be a good father.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Wow, what a great question! I think about this a lot. My wife's favorite observation is that oranges are pre-sliced, perfect bite-sized treats. To her that's evidence that God exists. I like to think about the incredible connected-ness of the world we live in. Without plants to make oxygen, we could not live and without animals to exhale carbon dioxide, plants could not live. Without darkness, there could be no light. Without sickness, there could be no health. Without evil, there could be no good. Without suffering, there could be no happiness. Every single person has an individual identity with different DNA, different fingerprints, distinct voices, different facial structures, etc. This, to me, shows that God knows us all individually, and loves everyone individually too. The complexity and beauty of the human body tells me that there is a creator. Lately I've been contemplating how everything on Earth is made for us. Everything that we need to be healthy is provided for us on this glorious planet. God has given us all the tools we need. Show more Show less
