Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a stay-at-home mom to one adorable daughter. My husband and I are both pretty nerdy - we both did our undergrads in computer engineering and we like to play chess together. I like to read the New York Times, National Geographic and YA lit, and I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. When the weather is good, I spend most of my time in the vegetable garden (love that fresh produce!) or on my bike with my daughter in the trailer. I live in the Midwest and love it.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up, I always wondered if church was just a trick, like Santa Claus, for parents to make their kids be good. Through prayer, I found out for myself that God is real. Now, I can't hardly go a day without being confronted by more evidence: He is in the beauty of nature, the whisperings of the Spirit, the answers to prayers. I know that there is a God in heaven and that He knows me. Not only does He know me, but he loves me, personally. And He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to make it possible for me to repent, to change, to find my way in the world.

How I live my faith

I try to remember the love I have felt from my Savior and give that same love to others. Mainly, that's focused on my family my husband and my daughter. At church, I teach the gospel to four- and five-year-old children. I remember what it was like to be a child and want to know everything.
