Hi I'm Deanna

I am a wife, a mother of 6, I am extremely happy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love walking along the river near my house every day. I also love taking photographs of wildlife. My children are my passion too, which means I take too many pictures of them. I love people young and old. I love hearing people's stories and finding out what makes them tick.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but an experience in high school gave me my own conviction that what I believed was true. My Dad dropped me off at a dance one evening where I was surrounded by kids who were doing and saying a lot of things that made me feel very uncomfortable. I wanted to walk home but there were some guys outside drinking, who started saying some bad things to me. There was no phone so I found a bathroom and prayed for help. I felt a warmth and peace. Ten minutes later I saw my Dad's car outside. He told me he had a strong feeling he should come and get me. This experience was the first of many where I have had an answer to my prayers. There were times when my life or well-being were in danger when I prayed for help and a miracle would save me. I know without a doubt that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and watches over me.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. It is a priority to me. I feel sad if I ever miss because of illness. I am a ward missionary, where I have the opportunity to go out with the missionaries and teach people. I love watching people's lives change. I have been touched by the great joy that comes to people who did not have a church or direction and then I am able to see how happy they are when they find this church. I also try hard to love everyone. I walk near a retirement center every day and I have made a lot of friends there and I have had people break down in tears who were very lonely and needed someone to care, who were grateful I took the time. This church has taught me that love can make us happier than anything else. I try to love everybody, no matter who they are and these new friends always teach me something or enrich my life in some way.
