Hi I'm Evan

I am lucky enough to have a family that supports me, I surf and teach children each Sunday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, yet I did not always wish it was so. As with many people when I hit high school I lost sight of what was important, but thankfully I was lucky enough to see what I wanted to be and what I wanted to change. I am thankful daily that Christ is my Savior and that today I am privileged to teach primary (children) and to feel the joy that comes by striving to do the Lord's will. I will soon be serving a Mission and I look forward to serving others as I have been given much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because through my life it has proved to be an unwavering truth in a world constantly shifting. Being Mormon is part of who I am, not just because it is a religion but because it gives hope and light, as it could to any who live it.

How I live my faith

I teach 8 year old children each Sunday and have found that it helps me understand the basic stories even further as I teach their principles to my class. Also I am humbled on occasion as the children will answer questions and make comments that remind me that I am there to be taught just as much as they are. In my efforts to impress good morals upon the children I often hope that what I teach them now will help them as they face the scary world outside of their homes.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

There are three simple things that one can do to know if Mormonism is true, and I could not ask others to do them unless I had done them personally, which I have. One should read the Book of Mormon, come to a Mormon church service, and one should pray and ask if it is true so that one could know for them self. Show more Show less
