Hi I'm Rachel

I am a wife, mother to 4 girls, daughter, and sister. I love my life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mom of four beautiful girls. I am a wife, sister to 6, daughter, and friend. I stay busy chasing after my kids, keeping the house together (sort of), laughing with my friends, calling my sisters and mom, and living and loving my religion. My name is Rachel and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life, but I've had to put my beliefs to the test for myself. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of God and this is where my Heavenly Father wants me to be. Being Mormon provides me with a solid foundation for everything I do every day. And I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by saying prayers throughout the day. We start with a family prayer and I end with my own personal prayers at night. We read the Book of Mormon each night as a family and I try to read each day by myself. I also live my faith by sharing with the sweet young women in my ward. I teach them each week about living and learning faith in all we do.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Rachel
We believe that God is a man and we were created in his image. He has a body just like me. He is his own person, separate from his son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. He is my father in heaven and I can feel his love, patience, and understanding all the time in my life. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Rachel
Each missionary is asked to contribute to the Missionary Fund of the Church each month while they are serving. It is a set amount for all members. Each missionary is then given a specific amount each month to pay for their needs with the amount varying depending on where they are serving. If a missionary does not have the ability to pay the full amount, others are invited to also contribute to the fund to help those in need. Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Rachel
A ward or branch is a congregation of members that meet together each week. The wards or branches are made of members in a certain geographical area. A stake is a set or wards or branches. Show more Show less
