Hi I'm Brent.

I fly airplanes and I'm from Ohio! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Ohio right outside of Toledo. I'm a commercially licensed pilot and certified flight instructor. I'm currently a student at Bowling Green State University. I'm married to the best wife anyone could ever ask for. Life is great.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are great examples of disciples of Jesus Christ. I have brothers and sisters who have helped me on the path that leads to our Heavenly home. The path that leads Home to Father in Heaven has been revealed through prophets. Joseph Smith is one of these prophets. The Book of Mormon is evidence of this. My parents, siblings, and fantastic friends have led me to the path by inviting me to pray, come to church, read the Book of Mormon, and live God's commandments. When I decided for myself to do these things, Father in Heaven sent His Spirit to be with me, comfort me, and let me know that I was on the path that would lead me to Him. I have never felt that kind of peace, Love, and happiness from anything that is of this world. True joy comes only through following our Savior's example.

How I live my faith

I show my faith and love for God and his plan by keeping his commandments. As promised anciently for keeping commandments, I expirience a wealth of blessings in my life among the greatest being the presence of His Holy Spirit. I live my life in a way that others will recognize that I have chosen the follow the Savior, and have a desire to serve Him as well. I speak to God through prayer and commandment keeping. He speaks to me through the scriptures, the feelings of my heart, and thoughts of my mind. With those three ways of communication I've been provided with unmistakable witnesses that God lives. He loves us. Of that I can testify.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that GOD is LOVE. Not because we're so lovable that He can't help Himself, but because that's who He is. LOVE is His very identity. He is our Father. Like all Fathers, He has children that are designed to become similar in attributes, nature, and character, as He is. We claim that to recieve Eternal Life is to know Him (John 17:3). He has a tangible body of flesh and bone. He knows us and cares for us as a perfect Father. Show more Show less
