Hi I'm Ryan

I want to give peace a chance, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a small family, being the youngest to a brother and a sister, and great parents. I really enjoy riding motorcycles, I love movies and literature, but my true hobby is music either playing or listening. I hope to have a job someday where I can bring happiness to others. Right now I am just enjoying life!

Why I am a Mormon

Luckily, my parents raised me this way. They made sure I attended church every Sunday, and that I had the chance to learn about God. But at some point I had to learn what I had been taught was true or not. I knew that God loved me, and that Jesus Christ had done something for me and I had a yearning to know more about what it was. I asked my leaders and teachers questions and got answers, but the answers never seemed to satisfy me. So, because of my own stuborness, I had to do something more than ask. I came to the realization that I had to study, or act, or do things differently to change. So when I was 18, I read about Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and then I read the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ and I prayed and asked if they were true accounts. And they are. Because of those experiences, I have come to learn that there is one eternal truth that all other truths rest upon. It is the reality of God, and the truth that Jesus Christ is His son. Christ gave his life that all mankind could enjoy theirs, so long as we repent and make use of His sacrifice. I am a Mormon, because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is what brings lasting peace and happiness, and I really want that in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm in Las Vegas and I get to speak with people everyday about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This entails going door to door with our message, or speaking with strangers on the sidewalk. Even unexpected service if we get the chance. I live my faith by doing the best I can to let others know that there is a God, and He is highly interested in their lives. He is just waiting to bless them even more.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. Since He was the only begotten of the Father, and the Savior of the world, He is the most important person to ever walk this earth. And if we have, "unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon...him who is mighty to save"and we are baptized so we can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and work dilligently in this life; or, endure to the end, "behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life" (2 Nephi 31:19, 20). Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Our Heavenly Father does. As in times of old, God calls prophets to lead and guide all mankind with eternal principles and correct doctrine. A prophet is a man such as Noah, Adam, or Moses. An election system or an inheritance type of nomination is not the manner in which God calls prophets. Show more Show less
