Hi I'm Michael Zollinger

I grew up in Utah and California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father and just recently a grandfather. I love reading and watching professional sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family where we have been Mormons for a few generations. Still, I had to make the decision whether to follow the teachings of the Mormon faith or not. I have found nothing in my life that can take the place of my faith in the principles of the Gospel. It has blessed my family all my life. I have a sense of purpose with my belief in Christ and the hope that I can be a better man even though I make normal mistakes that come with living. The sense of family in a Mormon congregation has always been my anchor in troubled times.

How I live my faith

I have been actively involved in my faith all my life. I served as a missionary for two years in South America and taught the wonderful people there the gospel truths that I believe in. I have taught Sunday School classes and worked with the youth for a number of years. I have held many leadership positions in our church and have seen the good that comes into people's lives when they join themselves to a cause. I have also seen the heartache that comes through bad choices and the corresponding peace that comes from mending past mistakes. I try to live the teachings of Christ as I have come to understand them. Our children have all been involved in community activities such as sports teams and the like. I am not perfect, but I know that my involvement in the Mormon church makes me a better person.
