Hi I'm Kevin

I speak Spanish and English. I a college student. I have 11 siblings and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in my second year of college. I started playing the piano when I was eight years old. I didn't enjoy it at first but soon enough, I learned that mom and dad know best. I also play various brass instruments including the trombone, the baritone, and the tuba. I also continue to use the musical ability God has blessed me with to sing in a choir in college and I also continue to play the piano. I continue to study as a Communications Major. I also enjoy eating any Spicy Food especially Hispanic food. I love being able to improve the ability to speak Spanish everyday possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has given me the most hope to return back to God's presence along with my family. I love my family very much and I couldn't imagine living with them in this life or in the next life. It also brings me a true and correct understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been able to understand the Bible better than ever before in my life through study of both the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing the pure love of Christ, or charity, to others around me at any moment. I love being able to find the ability to develop charity for other people through providing service to them. I found it a blessing that for the past 9 months, I was able to provide service in a Spanish congregation of the church by playing the piano during the services and for the Primary(the children’s organization of the church) to help them learn the teachings of Jesus Christ through song. I am amazed at how humble and loving the children are. They truly are the closest to God than most of us are. I also find that my love of serving others grows through simple acts of service such as making one of my brothers’ or sisters’ beds. It is amazing to be able to gain charity for those around me as I serve in various capacities in the church and even in the community. One of my favorite teachings from the Book of Mormon says, “when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
