Hi I'm Steven

I'm a missionary. I'm an athlete. I love people, and I love having fun. I love Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Sports are my life. I feel that being active and healthy has played a big part in me being able to serve as a full-time LDS missionary, and also just to enjoy everything that my heavenly father has created for me. I'm the youngest of four kids, and I love my family. I wouldn't trade them for the world. We may not always get along, but the perspective that I get from the gospel helps me to work through any differences I may have, and look at the big picture; we are all going to be together forever, so we might as well make things work now, so we can it enjoy eternity together later =).

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church my whole life, but there was a time in my life when I wondered whether this was really what I wanted in my life. I had doubts if there was just one true church, and if there was, was the Church of Jesus Christ that church? I found myself often reading the scriptures, the Bible and the Book of Mormon, looking for answers. I was on my knees morning and night asking Heavenly Father what he wanted for me in my life. The answer didn't come when I would have liked, but I kept reading and praying until it did come. I was nineteen years old, five years later, when I felt that my answer finally came. I had an overwhelming feeling that Heavenly Father had been mindful of me the whole time I had been searching. There had been so many little things that I had just overlooked. The Holy Ghost had told me countless times that I had already found what I was looking for. I feel God's love for me every time I read the Book of Mormon, and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the restored church of God again on the earth. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a full-time missionary. I have devoted all that I am, and all my time and energy to serving my savior. I spread the gospel, the "good news" of Jesus Christ, and hope that others can find the same joy that I have found by living the life I feel my Savior would have me live.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon missionaries proselyte because we feel that "There are many yet on the earth . . . who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it" (Doctrine & Covenants 123:12). We feel that it is our duty to find those who are seeking the truth, and we gladly share the knowledge we have with anyone who will listen. Our message can greatly bless anyone's life, and that is why we knock doors, and stop people on the street, and talk on street corners, because we feel a great urgency to make our message known; that God is our Father, Jesus is the Christ, and their gospel has been restored.
