Hi I'm Cameron
I grew up in Idaho, I love being active and learning new things, and I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I have 3 sisters and 1 brother and was raised in Idaho. I'm a pretty open minded person and I like to try new things all the time. In my earlier years I played competitive soccer and basketball and recreational soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, etc. I love music- the playing of and listening of. I'm currently not attending college, but I will be soon enough. It will be difficult to decide what I want to focus on because I greatly enjoy and love learning about: food, health, nutrition, etc.; science, physics, chemistry, etc.; technology, innovation, efficiency, etc.; sports, exercise, the great outdoors, etc.; music and other forms of communication; religion, ethics, God's revelations to man, etc.; and I'm sure there's more. I really just enjoy learning and trying to understand how things work. I love people and how unique we all are.
Why I am a Mormon
What makes me tick? As you might have observed, I love to study and seek for understanding of things. There are so many things that surround us and compete for our attention each day. What is worthwhile and what isn't? What is right and what is wrong? What is the purpose of life? Is there more? Many people have answers, but few are satisfying. Many are imagined up by peoples own fantasy. Some are based on partial truth. People for the most part are trying to do the best with the knowledge they have. That has never been enough for me. I have found my answers from God, the One source of pure truth. Truth as defined in the Holy Scriptures is a knowledge of things as they were, as they are, and as they will be in the eternities. Truth is unchanging. God understands and knows things we can't comprehend at this point. We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:6-7) in this life. I have found the answers in God's revealed word, which consists of the Bible and The Book of Mormon, as well as other revelations given to prophets anciently and today. Prophets today? Yes. Prophets are chosen by God to be his mouthpiece on the earth. They learn eternal truths through revelation and teach it to the rest of the people on earth. That is the pattern. That is order. Each of us learns these truths spiritually (1 Corinthians 2) as we pray, study, and ponder the words of prophets. We can each recieve revelations for ourselve, but not for the rest of humanity as a whole. That creates disorder. The authority is only given to those anointed by God. I found my answers about life. I have received spiritual impressions little by little, some larger and more undeniable. I can confidently say that I have found God's church and that because of that I have access to precious truths that have been revelead and will yet be revealed, of which I wish everyone to know of for themselves. That is why I am a Mormon.
How I live my faith
I try to live my faith everyday by sharing gospel truths with others that I see and by striving to live the principles I've learned. I am not perfect, but when I make a mistake, I try to rectify that and do better next time. I recently returned from Portland, Oregon, where I was a full-time proselyting missionary. I loved it.
